Solutec antiscalants and scale inhibitors are multicomponent, specially formulated reverse osmosis chemicals that are designed to act synergistically against sparingly soluble salt precipitation in stressed or concentrated waters. Hydrovida knows that not every antiscalant is made equal and has different formulations to handle different problematic scales. As the industry trends toward higher recoveries and limited discharge, Hydrovida has adapted with innovative antiscalants that solubilize higher concentrations of dissolved salts than ever. |
Perfloc Coagulants

Perfloc coagulants are specifically formulated for use in reverse osmosis pretreatment equipment. Perfloc coagulants work by introducing high charge density molecules into a water solution containing small colloids. These high charge density molecules help to conglomerate the small colloids together into larger particulates by neutralizing overall charge. By accumulating the small colloids into larger particles, they are more easily removed by means of prefiltration equipment such as a multimedia filter or sand filter. Adding coagulants may significantly improve filtrate water feeding an reverse osmosis system which will in turn reduce reverse osmosis membranes fouling, saving on membrane cleaning and operational costs.

AntOx Dechlorinators

AntOx dechlorination agents are multicomponent formulations that contain strong antioxidant properties. AntOx agents virtually instantly react with active halogens (chlorine, bromine, chloramine) and other oxidizers that are present in water. It is well documented that industry standard, thin-film composite membranes are not oxidizer friendly. Any residual oxidizer will quickly degrade a reverse osmosis membrane until it is no longer effective in removing impurities. The addition of AntOx preserves the overall life of a reverse osmosis membrane, resulting in sustained salt rejection performance and significant savings on membrane replacement costs.

Synetec Membrane Cleaners
|
Synetec cleaners are proven, targeted formulations that are effective even when generics and other formulated cleaners are not. Synetec cleaners work effectively even at low concentrations when compared to generics and competitors. Additionally, the cleaners have been formulated to be aggressive on foulants, but mild and safe to handle. All Synetec cleaners contain synergistic properties that allow for increased removal of even the most stubborn fouling. In addition to their superior cleaning efficacy, Hydrovida cleaners have been demonstrated to be compatible with every major membrane manufacturer and are effective on ultrafiltration modules, reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membranes and other water treatment purification filters.

Hydrovida has a line of eco-friendly and biodegradable chemicals for cooling tower and HVAC systems. Hydrovida chemicals are formulated to keep heat transfer surfaces as clean as possible while also being environmentally friendly. A successful water treatment program leads to significantly reduced energy use and operational costs, as well as a safe and healthy environment for people as cooling towers can be breeding grounds for harmful bacteria if not properly treated.

Boiler Chemistry

Hydrovida is dedicated to redefining boiler treatment chemicals and treatment options. Traditional boiler water treatment typically contains extremely environmentally hazardous chemicals and can produce toxic hazardous blowdown and sludge after use. Hydrovida is highly invested in its green chemical initiative which is focused on developing highly effective, green, biodegradable alternatives to typical water treatment. Many of Hydrovida's boiler treatment chemicals contain only biodegradable scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors and polymers. While some of our formulations are not fully biodegradable and as eco-friendly as our initiative aims for, they are a significant improvement ecologically in comparison with traditional boiler water treatments. We strongly believe in finding eco-friendly options for replacement that offer the lowest carbon footprint available as we move toward a more sustainable future.
